"The Ancient Heart" is a tribute to the stillness of the Australian outback. Living in Australia, you learn that the land has a pulse. Uluru isn't just a rock; it is a living, breathing presence that changes with the light. This piece blends my toolmaker’s obsession with texture and my stylist’s love for color. I used the "bank note" engraving style to render the rock, using thousands of tiny, cross-hatched lines to mimic the cracks, crevices, and weathered surface of the sandstone. It captures the sheer weight and age of the landscape, stripping it back to its raw, powerful form.
