"The Curious Scout" captures a moment of pure, undivided attention. In a world that is constantly moving, there is something powerful about stopping to simply listen. As a former toolmaker, I was trained to be observant—to notice the smallest details that others might miss.
This little guardian of the forest embodies that trait, standing tall and watching the world with bright, intelligent eyes. To bring him to life, I leaned on my background as a hairstylist. I built up the texture of the fur using hundreds of layered digital strokes, paying special attention to the signature ear tufts. The warm, terracotta watercolour wash in the background represents the earth and the autumn leaves—a grounding energy that balances the squirrel's alert posture.
