"The Connected Silence" is piece No. 53, and it represents a new chapter in my journey. We live in a world where we are constantly "plugged in"—notifications, noise, and digital demands. As a former Tool & Die Maker, I understand machinery; I know how precise and cold it can be. But as an artist and father, I know that our peace must be stronger than the noise.
In this piece, the mechanical headset represents the modern world we carry with us. But notice her expression: she isn’t overwhelmed by the technology. She is at peace within it. Her eyes are closed, turning inward to a place where the signal cannot reach.
I used clean, vector-sharp lines to build the mechanical elements, contrasting them with the soft, organic shadows of her face. It is a reminder that no matter how fast the world moves, the human spirit can always find its center.
