Guardian's Embrace — Black
A Tribute to Rio and the Open Arms of the World
"The Guardian’s Embrace" is a study of perspective. Standing atop Corcovado, Christ the Redeemer doesn't just watch over Rio de Janeiro; he embraces it. As a former toolmaker, I am awestruck by the engineering challenge of building such a massive Art Deco structure on the peak of a sheer mountain. I rendered this piece using a "bank note" engraving style to capture the dense urban fabric of the city and the organic curve of Sugarloaf Mountain. It is a collision of the man-made and the natural, all held under the protective span of those open arms.
● The Stone Edition (Monochrome/Black): A classic high-contrast black and white version. This option focuses entirely on the light and shadow, highlighting the dramatic silhouette of the statue against the bright Rio sky.
. Fine Art Paper: The purest way to view the engraving detail.
Vivid Alchemy: This is not a standard print. Using advanced 12-colour Giclée fine art technology, every shadow, ember, and subtle nuance of my original work is captured with a striking, undeniable depth.
The Matte Canvas: The surface is a smooth, premium matte. It drinks the light rather than reflecting it, creating a completely glare-free window into the artwork from any angle in your room.
Heirloom Weight: Crafted on substantial 200 gsm (80 lb) stock. It feels less like a simple poster and more like a true gallery exhibition piece—heavy, tactile, and built to endure.
Command Your Space: Available in a carefully selected range of sizes, allowing you to choose whether this piece whispers from a quiet corner or anchors your entire wall.
Honoring the Earth: Because my work is deeply tied to the natural world, the materials must be, too. Every piece is consciously crafted on environmentally responsible, FSC-certified paper.
