"The Infinite Drift" captures the terrifying but beautiful moment of completely letting go. To me, this piece represents the courage it takes to reinvent yourself. Leaving my trade background to become an artist felt exactly like this—a freefall into the unknown, trusting that the wind would catch me.
From a technical perspective, this piece is a study of contrast. I used my toolmaker’s discipline to render the figure with weight and realism, capturing the specific muscle tension of the tumble. I then surrounded her with a background that is pure stylist—a soft, blended explosion of pastel clouds. The pinks, peaches, and teals represent the infinite possibilities that open up when we stop fighting gravity and embrace the fall.
