"The Innocent Bond" captures a quiet moment between two tiny souls who don't know they are supposed to be different. To me, this piece represents the purest form of friendship—the kind that exists before the world teaches us boundaries. As a father, watching my daughters grow, I am constantly reminded that love often bridges the biggest gaps.

From a technical standpoint, this piece balances softness with structure. I used my toolmaker’s eye for scale to perfectly proportion the puppy and the chick, capturing the protective tilt of the dog’s head. I then softened the entire image using my stylist’s techniques—blending the fur and feathers with a watercolour wash to show that their connection is fluid and warm, not rigid.
