As a former toolmaker, I have always been drawn to this peak because it looks engineered rather than grown. It is a masterpiece of angles and edges. I captured this scene using a "bank note" engraving style, using thousands of precise lines to render the jagged rock face and the mirror-like reflection in the Riffelsee lake below. It is a study in duality: the immovable hardness of the mountain above, and the fragile, wavering image of it in the water below.
