Summit and the Sea — Framed
A Landscape of Stillness and Motion
"The Summit and the Sea" is a study of two opposing forces existing in harmony. In the background stands Mt. Fuji—solid, unmoving, and permanent. This represents the discipline of my toolmaker background: the need for a stable foundation that never wavers. In the foreground is the ocean—wild, unpredictable, and constantly changing. This represents the fluid creativity of my life as a stylist.
The surfer riding the wave bridges the gap. He is the balance point between the stillness of the mountain and the chaos of the ocean. This piece is a reminder that to navigate life, you need both: the stability to set a goal, and the flexibility to ride the waves that take you there.
