A Monument to Resilience and Roman Engineering

The Artist’s Vision "The Eternal Arena" is a tribute to things that last. The Colosseum has stood for nearly 2,000 years, surviving earthquakes, fires, and the fall of an empire. To me, it is the ultimate symbol of resilience. This piece speaks to my roots as a toolmaker. I am fascinated by the repetition of the arches—the mathematical precision required to stack stone upon stone so perfectly that it survives millennia. I rendered this using a dense, cross-hatched engraving style to capture the raw weight and texture of the travertine stone. It is a portrait of a structure that refuses to fall.
