Guardian's Embrace — Royal Blue — Wood
A Tribute to Rio and the Open Arms of the World
"The Guardian’s Embrace" is a study of perspective. Standing atop Corcovado, Christ the Redeemer doesn't just watch over Rio de Janeiro; he embraces it. As a former toolmaker, I am awestruck by the engineering challenge of building such a massive Art Deco structure on the peak of a sheer mountain. I rendered this piece using a "bank note" engraving style to capture the dense urban fabric of the city and the organic curve of Sugarloaf Mountain. It is a collision of the man-made and the natural, all held under the protective span of those open arms.
● The Blueprint Edition (Royal Blue): This version is printed in a striking monochrome blue. It references the aesthetic of vintage architectural blueprints and the famous Portuguese Azulejo tiles found throughout Brazil's history. It feels nautical, fresh, and deeply connected to the sea.
Wood Print: An organic, textured alternative for a modern industrial feel.
Depth Beyond the Line The thousands of strokes in my digital crosshatching find a perfect partner in the natural texture of birch wood. Our wood prints offer a tactile, rustic experience that paper cannot replicate. By revealing the wood grain through the highlights of the artwork, each piece gains an extra layer of warmth and depth.
FSC-Certified: Sustainably sourced wood for a conscious home.
Thickness Options: Select 10mm for a subtle profile or 20mm for a substantial gallery presence.
Uniquely Yours: The natural variation in the wood grain makes your specific print a unique original.
