Observer's Blueprint
A Deconstructed Study of Vision and Perception
"The Observer’s Blueprint" is a look beneath the surface. While most art focuses on the finished beauty of an eye, I wanted to show the structure behind it. Drawing on my background as a toolmaker used to reading technical schematics, I built this image using thousands of rapid, cross-hatched lines. It looks less like a photograph and more like a wireframe—a map of how we see the world.
But a technical drawing has no soul, so I balanced the rigid lines with my stylist’s love for organic colour. The soft wash of purple and peach watercolour represents the emotion that colours our perspective. It is a visual representation of how I see the world: a mix of hard, calculated structure and soft, fluid feeling.
