"The Sentinel Canopy" is about changing your perspective. We usually look at trees from the outside, but this piece invites you to stand at the roots and look up. It captures that feeling of being small, protected, and connected to the earth while reaching for the sky.

This artwork is a study in "nature’s engineering." As a former toolmaker, I am fascinated by how a tree builds itself—the main trunk splitting into branches, then twigs, in a perfect fractal pattern to catch the light. I used a detailed cross-hatching technique to render the

peeling bark and the intricate net of branches, framing it all in a perfect circle to create the feeling of looking through a lens or a portal.
