A Portrait of Pure Hope and the Future

"The Silent Wish" is piece No. 52 in my collection, and it comes directly from my heart as a father. Growing up, we lose our ability to simply believe. We start to doubt. But when I look at my daughters, I see this expression—a moment of quiet, unbroken hope.

I created this piece to capture that specific split-second where innocence meets the infinite. She isn’t just looking up; she is looking forward.

This illustration is a perfect example of my "Steel to Stylus" philosophy. I used the rigid, disciplined "bank note" engraving style—thousands of sharp, mechanical cross-hatching lines—to create something incredibly soft: the roundness of a child’s face and the light in her eyes. It is precision used to build peace.

• The Radiant Edition (Pop Colour): Surrounded by concentric rings of teal, purple, and retro pink. This represents the "Pop" I always talk about—the vibrant, invisible energy of a child’s imagination rippling out into the dull world. It turns the piece into a modern icon of joy.
